{Music} Move Along - All American Rejects

One would think that after a long day of tweaking on graphics and then a rather arduous rehearsal, the sane thing to do would've been to go home and sleep. Yeah...that whole sane part kind of escaped me *hehehe* After rehearsal, we all went to do some karaoke-ing and I proceeded to get wonderfully drunk!  I swear to you that shochu is the nectar of the gods! *YUMMMMM!*  The bartender made this one pomegranate liquor and shochu drink that was just UBER delicious...I think I sucked down like 10 glasses of shochu cocktails throughout the evening. Fun fun fun fun! *hehehe* Anyways....

Here is a crappy  quality version of the postcard I  tweaked on...

INUGAMI postcard )

And here is a sneak peak at some of the total hotness we got going on up in the "Inugami" clan! *w00t!* (^o^)/
Inugami GRRRRLZ! )

And of course I have photographic evidence of the debauchery and mayhem at the karaoke room! *hehehe*
This way for mayhem and chaos! )

Ah, yes, there was lots and lots of fun to be had last night.

Tonight, Kiana and I went to watch "Into the Woods" at Diamond Head Theatre and it wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either.  The only main problem I had with the show was the set.  I cannot remember ever seeing such a badly designed set before.  The forest scenes had these weird cloth pillars that looked like sea anemones and the back drop was this weirdly abstract painting.  It just didn't suit the play at all!  Vocally, everyone held there own...although some more than others.  It is just hard to watch a community theatre production of a play when you have already seen an un-friggin'-believable version of it on Broadway.  The OBC of "Into the Woods" is pretty hard to top and even the revival was pretty awesome.  I have to admit though...the version that Manoa Valley Theatre put up like 10 years ago was totally amazing.  Wow...I can't believe that it has been THAT long (*o*)  Wow, I feel old *hehehe*.

I FINALLY got my high speed internet access today...*YAAAAY!* That whole dial up thing just wasn't kicking it for me *hehehe*...Yes, now the big wide world of the interweb is there for my taking *SWEET!* Downloaded and INSANE amount of MP3s so I have no excuse to NOT go jogging since I kept bitching about how I can't run without music (^_^) Now I have PLENTY so...yeah...I think I am going to have to lace up those sneakers in the morning *hehehe*. Rehearsals for INUGAMI are going FABULOUSLY! We open in less than two weeks, but we have almost everything but together. I am amused at how I am in a show even before I find myself a job...love my priorities (^o^) Well, I DID go to a job interview today and for the first time my extremely bubbly personality worked against me *sigh*. This Japanese tour company initially had me come in to interview for an office position, mainly dealing with clients that are in Japan over the phone, but once they talked to me for awhile...*sigh*...they said that it would be a waste to stick me in an office when I could be dealing with customers one-on-one at the hotel desks and stuff. I want the OFFICE job...something 9-to-5 for once in my life! *shrug* We shall see...I have to give them a call tomorrow. Yikes! I need to crash....*YAAAAWN*

{Music} You're Beautiful - James Blunt

My first meme in a long time and it is a doozy!

(Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

I miss somebody right now.  (lots of people! *sniff*) I don't watch much TV these days. I own lots of books.  (Oh dear lord! Too many! I SERIOUSLY need another bookshelf.)
I wear glasses or contact lenses. I love to play video games.  (Sweet! For hours and hours!) I've tried marijuana.  (Just makes me tired and hungry...I can do that on my own thank you.)
I've watched porn movies.  (Rather do it myself than watch though thank you *hehehe*) × I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. I believe honesty is usually the best policy.
I curse sometimes. I have changed a lot mentally over the last year.  (Oh yeah...a LOT!) × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.
it goes on... )

{Music} Run to the Ocean - Thieves Crossing

I have returned to an apartment which only has DIAL UP *AAAAARGH!!!* so therefore my posts shall be rather sporadic until the DSL kicks, which, keep your fingers crossed, should be by Wednesday. ::I hope I pray::

A few recaps and updates on my oh-so fabulous and fun-filled life...

1. I lost a grand total of 80 pounds and have been having a GRAND old time racking up a fabulous credit card debt with a ton of clothes shopping! *wheeeee!* From a size 18/20 to a 10. The only problem...My boobs disappeared somewhere along the line *sad* Any suggestions on making these tatas bigger without having to go under the knife? (^-^)

2. Currently rehearsing for the INUGAMI. Yes, I am ALREADY in a play. Will the insanity ever end? *hehehe* For all of my Hawaii compatriots, read this...

Info on Inugami )

3. I SO need to find myself a J.O.B. It kind of bites though...here I am with two degrees and really no job in Hawaii to apply them to. Am I the only one who is hearing the strains of, "What do you do with a B.A. in English?" (^-^) Well, tomorrow, well today really, is Sunday, so I shall be hitting the classifieds like a mad woman. Go me! (^-^)

And that my friends, is the end of this update...I am SO getting back into the swing of this Live Journal thing... LOVE IT!

My cousin from Tokyo is here to escort me back to Japan (^_^) and Enishi (my cousin), Lei and I have spent the last two nights ingesting as much alcohol as humanly possible ::nods::

How cute is Enishi?
Enishi...drunk...on a bike... )
Any guesses as to how old she is? *teehee*

I took this picture at around 5:00PM and it really made me realize just how gorgeous this island really is.

My mom, Lei and I went to eat sushi the other day, and we ended up racking up a $250 bill...again ::sigh:: We should not be allowed to go to this restaurant...seriously ::nods::

I just saw this article and I am slightly irritated since I have been writing articles and papers on this subject for the past THREE YEARS!!!

Oblivious Japan May Be on Brink of AIDS Explosion

An Asian Studies professor of mine read this article I wrote and fully scoffed at it (>_<)-ZAMAMIROOOOOOOO! BAKA BAKA BAKA BAKA! The stupid bitch told me that I was "wasting my time writing about something so insignificant." Insignificant?!?! ちょームカツク~!私何年も前から日本のAIDSの問題について書いてるのに~!バカ先生!!!

{Music} Bad Japanese Musicals

So instead of sleeping, I am watching this tape of random Japanese musical performance clips and I am getting very disturbed...I have already seen "The Lion King" mangled, "Beauty & the Beast" has scarred me for life, and now they are starting on "AIDA" (*-*) Adam Pascal and Heather Headley these two are definitely not ::nods:: Radames has an insanely weak voice, but the girl playing Aida isn't half bad...Or my standards could just be dropping...a lot!I wonder if she has extensions or if she is wearing a wig...random ::nods::

AAACK! Now they are on to the Lloyd Webber stuff (*-*) I don't like "The Phantom of the Opera" in English and it isn't any better in Japanese. Christine just hit a note that only dogs could possibly here (^_^;) Now they are moving on to "CATS"...They actually look really cute in their kitty costumes, oh, except for Grizabella...she looks like she is covered in dead raccoons. "Aspects of Love"?!?! No no no no! Only Michael Ball is allowed to sing "Love Changes Everything"! That's his song! Ooooh...This "Jesus Christ Superstar" is interesting. The Judas can actually sing, but I must say that I still prefer Tony Vincent for purely shallow reasons ::nods::

Oh dear lord...they have moved on to "Mamma Mia" (*o*) How could they translate ABBA?! I don't know how they did it, but they have...

This is why I am bringing my boots with me ::nods::

I just woke up from the strangest dream...Like I am still insanely creeped out from it. There were CB'rs, a mentally retarded Jewish guy who liked to cut off fingers (*-*), bags of Butterfinger BB's, a musical audition at a yakiniku restaurant which then turned into a temporary veterinarian's office, some random S&M and I was riding my bicycle on the freeway.

It just sounds odd, but ::shudder:: it is really creeping me out...

My brain is broken ::nods::

 Hollow & Betrayed

Hollow & Betrayed

Theatre has been a trial of love and hate from the very first day I ever set foot on to a stage and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  The burning lights, the crowded dressing rooms, the rank costumes, the dull roar of the crowd and the exhilaration of performing…there is NOTHING that can compare.

Never would I have imagined that when I first put my RENT CD into my stereo all those years ago that the show would become such an integral part of my life.  RENT, the most exuberant and original American musical to come along in a decade, has single-handedly reinvigorated Broadway and is taking the country by storm.  Sweeping all major theatre awards, including the 1996 Tony Award for Best Musical as well as the Pulitzer Prize, RENT captures the heart and spirit of a generation.  Inspired by Puccini's La Boheme, Larson's passionate, powerful and poignant story celebrates friendship and survival, life and love, art and music amidst a community of young East Villagers as they struggle with the tough realities of today's New York.

“Full puppet nudity!”  How could I resist?  AVENUE Q is the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York City with big dreams and a tiny bank account.  He soon discovers that the only neighborhood in his price range is Avenue Q; still, the neighbors seem nice.  There's Brian the out-of-work comedian and his therapist fiancée Christmas Eve, Nicky the good-hearted slacker and his roommate Rod, a Republican investment banker who seems to have some sort of secret, an Internet addict called Trekkie Monster and a very cute kindergarten teaching assistant named Kate.  And would you believe the building's superintendent is Gary Coleman?!  (Yes, that Gary Coleman).  Together, Princeton and his newfound friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

Distant Oblivion

It is called “The Land of the Rising Sun”, it is home to the world’s latest technological advancements and yet has shrines, temples and castles dating back hundreds and thousands of years.  Yes, Japan, my home away from home.  Life has taken me on many twists and turns, and this is just yet another crossroad that I have come across.
